Preservation

There are some species from the Chondrichthyans classified as vulnerable in nature.

Some of them are:

Great White Shark (Carcharodon carcharias): Vulnerable

Whale Shark (Rhincodon typus): Endangered

Hammerhead Shark (Sphyrna spp): Endangered

Shortfin Mako Shark (Isurus oxyrinchus): Endangered

Giant Manta Ray (Mobula birostris): Endangered

It's highly important to preserve these species and the Chondrichthyans for the sake of the marine ecossystem, overfishing and degradation of natural habitats has been the biggest threat to these species.
